Trees are an important natural resource
in Spokane County, whether part of a forest or providing shade in the backyard. The Forestry Department at the Spokane County
Conservation District applies an ecologically balanced approach to managing, utilizing, and protecting the forest and wildlife resources. While the SCCD specializes in assisting the non-industrial private forest land owner with their forestry issues, the District also provides assistance to the public and local governments in rural and urban areas.
