The Forest Practices Act and the Forest Practices Rules, which implement regulations relating to growing, harvesting, and processing of timber, apply to all private and government forest lands. The regulations attempt to balance the desire to protect public forest resources while allowing productive timber growth and harvest. The book includes detailed forestry rules, along with photographs and illustrations of forest practices.
