Our Water Resources Mission:

"Preserve and enhance the water resources in Spokane County watersheds for the benefit of present and future generations."

The Conservation District's Water Resources Program strives to address the major water quality and quantity issues within the district's boundaries. We provide sound technical assistance, information and education, and project implementation to protect, enhance, and maintain the natural resources in Spokane County.

Water Quality Improvement Cost-Share Program

Landowners in Spokane county may be able to access funding for the development and implementation of management practices to protect water quality. Eligible practices include grassed waterways and sediment basin Best Management Practices (BMP’s). Call Charlie Peterson at (509) 535-7274 to check on the availability of funds or to schedule a free on-site consultation.
