State Line Stream Discharge Gage Installation

Hangman (Latah) Creek to get real-time gage at the state line

The Hangman/Latah Creek Watershed Implementation Team has procured funding through the Department of Ecology to establish a stream discharge gaging station at the Idaho/Washington border. This new gage employs state-of-the-art technology to collect data on the amount of surface water moving into Washington State. The information will be valuable to water resource planners in both Idaho and Washington State as they seek to balance the many competing water needs in the region.

The SCCD worked in cooperation with the Coeur d’ Alene Tribe, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) and others to install the gage.
