Meeting Summary q The meeting summary was approved with two changes. Susan will revise and distribute the meeting summary. 2. Implementation of the Watershed Plan Recommendations q The WIT reviewed recommendations R11.a through R11.g. q The WIT brainstormed initial implementation actions. q Susan will summarize the discussion in a skeletal draft of the Detailed Implementation Plan (DIP). 3. Other Issues q The WIT would like to find out more about the planned dredging of Spangle Creek and offer assistance to implement Best Management Practices. Walt will draft a letter on behalf of the WIT and send it out to the WIT via e-mail for comment prior to mailing. q The WIT would like a briefing on Spokane County’s revised Shoreline Master Program and Critical Areas Ordinance at a future meeting. It may be most efficient to have this meeting at the County offices. 4. Update on Stateline Gauging Station q The project is moving forward with efforts by the CDA Tribe, the Spokane County CD and the USGS. q The gauge will be installed by the end of June. q USGS will collect data for a two year period after the gauge is installed. 5. Early Action Items q The Tekoa well project had been completed. 6. Upcoming Meetings q The next meeting of the WIT will be on Tuesday, March 6th from 10-12 at the Spokane County CD. q There will also be a WIT meeting on Tuesday, March 20th from 10-12 at the Harvester restaurant in Spangle.
