Watershed Management Committee Members and Information
The Committee consists of a diverse group of individuals representing agriculture, businesses, the environment, Native American tribes, property owners, lake association members, and local , state and federal agency representatives.

Lead Agency: The Spokane County Conservation District has received a Centennial Clean Water Grant from the Washington State Department of Ecology to facilitate the development of the Water Quality Management Plan. The District is responsible for the formation and facilitation of the Management Committee, the development of the Management Plan, and the coordination of outreach events.

Membership Eligibility: Under the adopted by-laws, new members can be added with approval of the Committee after the individual has attended three meetings. Members that have not attended three consecutive meetings can be removed from the Committee.
Responsibilities: The Committee is responsible for identifying issues causing pollution and environmental degradation, solutions to these problems, and implementation strategies. The Committee is also dedicating time to participate in outreach events such as parades and outdoor fairs as a means to educate those in the community about the planning process, issues and solutions.
Meetings: The Watershed Management Committee was formed in June of 2003,and met quarterly to adopt by-laws and set meeting dates. The group now meets:
