Shorelines need your help

stream with vegetative bufferSpokane County is known for its superior outdoor environment, especially its waterways and watersheds. We depend on the region's lakes, rivers, and streams to provide recreation, wildlife, fish, drinking water, and water for our crops.

Currently, Spokane County has several water bodies that have impaired water quality. The destruction of shorelines and loss of streamside buffers has been identified as one of the major problems.

We need your help to reverse this growing trend.

Use the links to the left to learn how you can do your part to protect shorelines and help the Conservation District improve water quality throughout our region.
